Smt. R.D. Shah Arts & Smt. V.D. Shah Commerce College (Dholka College) is a grant-in-aid college established in 1963 and is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. It is recognized under 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC.
Is the College accredited by NAAC?
Yes. Dholka college had been assessed by NAAC-UGC and accredited with C grade in the first cycle in 2005 and with the C Grade in the second cycle in 2012.

The College has separate hostel facility for boys in the college vicinity. The admissions for the hostel are available after admissions to the College are confirmed.
What is the procedure to obtain the Provisional Eligibility and Final Eligibility Certificates?

What is the procedure to obtain bus/railway concession pass?
A student who wants to avail the concession pass has to collect the required form from the bus stand/ railway station. The duly filled form with a photograph, copies of necessary documents and the college fee receipt should be submitted to the college office for verification and authentication. The form, with the authorized signature and college stamp can be collected from the college office on the next working day during the recess time or between 2 pm and 3 pm.
What is the procedure to get important documents certified as True Copy?
A student who wants to get important documents certified as True Copy by the college office is required to submit the photocopies along with the original documents to the college office between 11 am and 12.30 pm. The original documents and the signed and stamped photocopies can be collected from the college office on the next working day during the recess time or between 2 pm and 3 pm.
What is the procedure for a regular student to obtain the Bonafide Certificate?
A student currently studying at Dholka College can apply for the Bonafide Certificate. He is required to pay the prescribed fees to the accounts office of the college and collect its receipt. This receipt, along with the fee receipt, is to be submitted to the college office. The certificate can be collected from the college office on the next working day during the recess time or between 2 pm and 3 pm.
What is the procedure for a past student to obtain the Testimonial/ Trial Certificate?
A past student of Dholka College can apply for Testimonial/ Trial Certificate by filling up the prescribed application form available from the college office. He is required to pay the prescribed fees to the accounts office of the college and collect its receipt. The duly filled form, along with the receipt of payment of prescribed fees and photocopies of all marksheets of all attempts should be submitted to the college office. The certificate will be issued by the college office within two working days.
What is the procedure to obtain the Transference Certificate?
A student changing the college during his study at Dholka College or continuing his education after B.Com. or B.A. with any other college affiliated to Gujarat University, can apply for the Transference Certificate. He has to collect the Transfer Certificate Form from the new college and fill it up. He is required to pay the prescribed fees to the college accounts office and collect its receipt. The duly filled form, along with the receipt of payment of prescribed fees and photocopies of all marksheets should be submitted to the college office. The certificate will be issued by the college office within two working days.

What is the procedure to obtain transcripts?
The student should bring multiple copies (six sets) of printed transcripts to the College and pay the prescribed fees at the college accounts office. The receipt of payment of prescribed fees, multiple sets of printed transcripts, original mark sheets of all semesters/years and photo copies of all marksheets should be submitted to the college office. The signed and stamped transcripts will be issued by the college office within two working days.
Does the College have an Alumni Association? How can a student become a member?
The College has a strong and active Alumni Association.
After graduating from Dholka College, a student can become a life member by paying the prescribed fees along with photocopy of the B.Com. or B.A. Marksheet and two passport size photographs.
The spouse also gets a free life membership on submission of the copy of the marriage certificate.
What is the procedure to obtain Recommendation Letter?
The student needs to apply to the concerned faculty / Principal stating the reason for asking for a recommendation. Recommendation letter will be issued after a week. Students will have to show necessary documents like mark sheets and other certificates.
